Keep scavenging and feeding the group until the "quiet house" or "garage" is unlocked. Make a custom map and make sure to include the "quiet house" and "garage". Set the war to short, violence to low, and no winter. Then take Boris (to do early scavenging and reacts really negative to moral choices) and Zlata (morale booster when people are sad/depressed/broken).
